Our Services

1
Psychoeducational Assessment
A psychoeducational evaluation is a thorough assessment that helps us understand how your child learns and what might be causing any challenges they’re facing. It involves testing how your child thinks, learns, and behaves. This includes looking at things like:
-
Cognitive skills (how they process information, solve problems, remember things, and pay attention)
-
Academic skills (reading, writing, and math abilities)
-
Social and emotional development (how they interact with others and handle feelings)
The goal is to identify your child’s strengths and areas that need support so that we can work together to create the best plan for their success at school and home.
2
Special Education Advocate
A special education advocate helps families understand their rights and get the best support for their child in school. They can attend ARD (Admission, Review, Dismissal) meetings to ensure your child’s educational goals, accommodations, schedule and placement of services reflect FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education) required under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA); ensures access to general curriculum; is provided at no cost to parents; individualized through IEP; includes special education and related services; supports educational progress appropriate to the student’s needs.
3
Consultation
As an educational diagnostician, a consultation involves meeting with parents, teachers, and occasionally other staff to understand a student's academic progress at school. We talk about:
-
Your child's strengths and challenges
-
How do they learn best
-
Any concerns about learning, behavior, or social skills
-
Referrals for additional evaluations, such as speech and language
The goal is to find the best ways to support your child's learning and make sure they have what they need to succeed in school.
